Auxiliary
Throughout much of the history of Fire District #4 an Auxiliary has been an important part of its success. Earlier groups were instrumental in fund-raising efforts to purchase the first “JAWS of Life” in Walla Walla County. This tool is still being used today. The current Auxiliary was formed in 1994. Originally, its purpose was to provide support to the firefighters while on extended incidents. As things evolved over the years those needs diminished and the Auxiliary now focuses on other ways to support the firefighters, their families, and the District. These include conducting fundraising projects, helping with public education, coordinating and helping finance District functions, and assisting with activities to help raise public awareness and support for the District. If you think you may be interested in becoming part of this group, please contact District Office at 509-529-1282.
