Walla Walla County Fire District #4

Founded in 1948 Fire District 4 surrounds the cities of Walla Walla and College Place in South Eastern Washington State.  Fire District 4 covers 125 square miles with an average population of 10,500 people.   This area incompasses everything from rural farm land, suburban neighborhoods, forested mountians, industrial areas, educational facilities, urban areas and the local regional airport.  Approximately 60 volunteers, 7 career, 1 secretary, 6-9 residential fire fighters provide fire suppression, ARFF crash rescue, emergency medical services, fire prevention and public education for the community.  Fire District 4 has 6 fire stations that house 6 class A pumpers, 6 type 6 grass trucks, 5 water tenders, 2 ARFF crash trucks, 1 rescue truck, 2 command rigs, 4 utility rigs, 1 ATV fire/rescue unit and 1 cribbing trailer.
